About the Product:
Rosone is handmade in Italy by some of the finest ceramic craftsmen in Sicily. Its unique feature is that each piece is a work of art with varying decor on each dish. The central flower (Rosone) is the symbol of the Sicilian Baroque. In contrast to its counterpart Rosone Blue, Rosone Ocra is more refined and much richer, with bold yellow ochre accents that represent the brightness of the Mediterranean sun. This very elegant and exclusive line is ideal for a classic dinner or rustic-chic party.
This collection consists of a dinner plate, soup & pasta bowl, and serving bowl. Combine these items in different and versatile ways to serve meet, fish, salads, soup, fruit salads, and any Sicilian superb pasta dish like Pasta alla Norma.
NOTE: Possible imperfections are due to the handmade nature of each item.
About the Collection:
La Giara, named in honor of the famous work of Pirandello, is one of the oldest manufacturers of artistic ceramics in Sicily. Since 1953, the Famiglia Patti of Santo Stefano di Camastra has produced objects for the home and table using artisanal methods.
Awarded with numerous prizes for having perfected the decoration technique called "Rosso Vivace" (i.e. vivacious red) during the '70s, Ceramiche La Giara has been able to preserve authentic Sicilian pottery traditions, both in the decoration and production processes. Each dish in this special collection for DishesOnly was hand-decorated and signed by the artist.
